Abstract

Bond, identification and comunication. With a simple phrase, a sports announcer could
be remembered by all the people. In this mission, the catchphrases, that short words used
in clutch moments of an event, ends up being allies of the speakers. In sports journalism,
catchphrases use is common for many announcers. But how they born? How the catchphrase
is important in these days? He is the most important thing in a narration? How he get in the
public head? This article focuses on these questions. We made it 17 interviews with speakers,
comunication specialists and spectators from all of Brazil’s sides, trying to understand from
the birth of the catchphrase until his reputation with the sports fans. The article have a research by the Google Forms, in 27 days, with 118 answers over the theme. They turn possible
the production of 12 graphics who shows which catchphrases and announcers was most
remembered and what is the most important features in a sports broadcast
