Abstract

Since democracy is an intrinsic value to Human Rights, this paper aims, at first, to analyze
points that surround these rights, that is, to discuss the definition of democracy and how
Human Rights, through the eyes of international relations, connect to it. Subsequently, the
Constructivist Theory will provide the exact foundation of the need for social agents, therefore, individuals in a state society have to conduct their interests through the figure of the
State. In addition, the paper will mainly discuss the dilemmas between democracy and human rights as well as its relationship and importance, in addition to addressing the setbacks
