Abstract

Natural disasters that occur frequently around the world are the environment's response to human activities, which degrade it in an uncontrolled and radical manner, such as the large amount of pollutants, deforestation, fires, among others. The last environmental conference promoted by the United Nations (UN) took place in 2022, at which the Loss and Damage Fund was created, highlighting how the inequality that exists between countries causes climate change to produce different effects, in addition to emphasizing the importance of the participation of developed countries in helping the most vulnerable countries to prevent and recover after these episodes. Thus, this article seeks to identify how climate change affects vulnerabilities, with the aim of establishing an effective way to combine the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with sustainability governance to achieve Climate Justice, ensuring a healthy environment for all. The methodology used is based on the qualitative method, through bibliographic research, exploration of contemporary cases relevant to the topic, and observation of relevant legislation, in order to analyze the relationship between climate change and vulnerabilities.
