The objective of this study was to investigate the perception of quality of life and health of Higher Education teachers in the development of their work. The research, with a mixed and exploratory approach, used structured questionnaires applied to 94 statutory professors from a public university in Western Paraná. The results highlighted significant challenges, such as high levels of anxiety, continuous use of medications, mental illnesses and difficulties with sleep, associated with distress generated by multiple professional and personal demands. General quality of life was classified as moderate, with physical health having the lowest average satisfaction score. On the other hand, mental health obtained the best rates, standing out as the most satisfactory dimension, despite some variability. Social and environmental relationships exhibited intermediate means, reflecting similar perceptions of satisfaction. The study points to the need for attention to the working conditions and health of teachers.
