In this article we present the partial results of a professional doctoral research that aims to analyze nursing education, verifying how humanization concepts and practices are included in the Pedagogical Course Projects (PPCs) for Nursing at Brazilian Federal Universities. To this end, we carried out qualitative, documentary, and interpretative research. Five PPCs were used as documentary sources, selected from university websites, one from each Brazilian region. Our research question was: how are humanization concepts and practices included in the projects? The results showed that the curricula of the different institutions reveal a variable commitment to including the theme of humanization in nurse training. Although institutions include subjects that address humanization, the course load and the number of subjects focused on the topic are limited, which can hinder the development of humanistic skills.
